Harold Higley

Harold G. Higley, age 93, of Kentwood, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, December 19, 2017. Harold is remembered for being good natured and kind, eager to help his children and others. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 1924 to the late Henry and Clara Higley. Harold was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Margaret Anne (Corbitt). They met in Lincoln where crews were being assembled for the B-29. Margaret Anne earned her degree from the University of Nebraska. After serving his country in the Air Force, Harold graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Business Administration. Surviving are his children, David (Jane) Higley, Elizabeth Anne (Bruce) Baker, Drew (Sudarat) Higley; grandchildren, Geoff (April) Berry, Joseph (Christa) Berry, Shannon Higley (Matt Klien), Michael Higley, Ben (Lesley) Baker, Tori (Joshua) Nikkel, Lexi Baker, Jessika (Eric) Bidgood, Nicole (Chris) Tighe, and many great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held 1:30 PM, Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Rest Haven Home (1424 Union Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505). Harold will be laid to rest next to Margret Anne in Blythefield Memory Gardens. Our family appreciated the care and kindness of the Rest Haven staff.
