Harold James Kettler, aged 78 of Gaylord, went to be with his Lord on August 21, 2011. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth Shaff, Jack Kettler, and Gerald Kettler. Surviving are his daughters, Mary Louise Scacciaferro, Debra Dameron, Dorene Kettler, Dawn Kettler, DeMona Len Powell, 15 grandchildren, and 12 Great Grandchildren, and his two sisters, Darlene Borowiak, Madelon Rapson. He was a paratrooper in the Army and stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. A memorial service will be held at The Grand Rapids Home for Veterans at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2011 with Rev. Robert Dennis officiating. Relatives and friends may meet his family at the Veterans Home on Friday for one hour prior to the service.
