I had Mr. Reed in Fourth & Fifth grade. Up until that point I was unable to talk to any adult male and feared them because of past experiences. It wasn't until they decided to put me in Mr. Reeds class that I started to feel comfortable being in that situation again. I couldn't be more thankful for having had him in my life & being part of a big turning point in my life. I don't think he ever realized how important he was to me in my life.

You will be sadly missed Mr. Reed.

My heart goes out to the family, friends & students whose lives he touched.

I was so sad to hear of Harold's passing. I had the privilege of having Harold for a teacher and then later teaching with him as a colleague. He was an excellent teacher and a kind man. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. My prayers for peace and comfort go out to your family at this time.

To the Reed family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I was so sorry to hear of your loss. Harold was probably one of the most influential teachers that I had at Martin Luther. He was a man who lived his faith day in and day out. He taught us that you could combine faith and fun in everyday life. We also knew that he really did care for his students, and was willing to go the extra mile for them. Take comfort in the fact that part of Harold is with each one of his students, and that the things he taught me will be passed on to future generations. May God continue to be with you.

Mrs. Reed,
Mr. Reed was one of the best teachers that I ever had. He made a tremendous difference in my life! You may remember when my Grampa died many years ago, that Mr. Reed was the one who lifted me up, hugged me tight, and brought me out of my "shocked" state. Even though I have not seen him for quite some time, he has always been a special person to me. One will never forget what a great and exceptional teacher...person...that he was. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
