Age 98, of Kentwood, passed away peacefully early in the morning on Friday, January 6, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Paul Eisenhauer and Bernard Held; brother, Homer; sisters, Marie, Eunice, and Ada Jean; and a grandson, Benjamin. Harriet will be missed by her three children, Carole (Terry) Tufts, Susan (Douglas) Dixon, and Thomas Eisenhauer; twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Harriet was proud of her time as an RN. It was truly her calling to help people in need. Missions was also a passion. She enjoyed sewing and over the years sewed thousands of articles of clothing for orphans of Haiti and missionary hospitals in the Philippines and Bangladesh. Traveling was another favorite pastime. In fact, she traveled to Brazil three times. Harriet was a huge inspiration to everyone who knew her. A memorial service will be announced in the future.
