Harry I. Kloska (Uncle Sonny, Harry-O, Mac, Ed, Dad, godharry) succumbed to pancreatic cancer on February 14 at age 61. He was recognized for his bucket hats, plaid shirts, tinted glasses, and slow saunter. He was captive of his own body (Crohns Disease) but liberated by his mind. His insatiable thirst for knowledge kept him young, hungry, and dreaming. He found solace in the Great Outdoors amid hunting, fishing, and mushrooming. He claimed he could fix everything “but broken hearts and automobiles.” He was always willing to share, lend a helping hand, offer moral support, or just plain listen. He was a man who needed to love as much as he needed love himself, never without a joke in tow, or a tongue in cheek comment… Trying hard not to take life too seriously Harry has shown us that laughter is truly the best medicine. Harry will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lynne, son Scott, brother Ken (Dare) Kloska, sisters; Max (Mel) Steffes, Jan (George) Mallison, Ginny (Larry) Stoffer and several, nieces, nephews and special friends and neighbors. A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, February 18, 2010 at St. Jude Catholic Church 1120 4 Mile Rd with Rev Patrick Stoffer OFM Conventual as celebrant. Friends and relatives may greet the family on Wednesday from 6-9 PM at the Reyers North Valley Chapel 2815 Fuller Ave NE and 1 hour prior to the service at church. A scripture service will be held at 7:30 on Wednesday at the funeral home. For those who wish memorials can be made to Crohn’s Colitis Foundation of America 31313 Northwestern Highway Suite 204 Farmington Hills, MI 48334.
