Helen Marie Ullery Valcanoff

Helen Marie Valcanoff, aged 79 of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully and went to be with her Lord Friday, April 2, 2010. Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Ted, her daughter, Sandy and Rob Scott; Grandchildren, Sarah and Dan Kelbel, Nathan Scott. Her sisters, Evelyn and Gene Haney, Alice Palda; brothers-in-law, Robert and Natalie Valcanoff, Carl and Arlene Valcanoff. A cousin, David and Jan Garver, several nieces and nephews. Helen was an Administrative Assistant for the Northview Public Schools for 26 years, she did Administrative work at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton Ohio for 4 years, was a volunteer at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Campus for several years, and she loved to travel with her husband Ted. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of her life will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Reyers North Valley Chapel with Rev. Verlyn Verbrugge officiating. Relatives and friends may meet her family at the chapel one hour prior to the service.
