

Henry “Hank” George Fuhs, Jr., age 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family following a battle with vascular dementia. Hank was born in Chicago on July 14, 1941 the oldest son of Henry & Mary (Tokich) Fuhs, Sr.
A member of the Catholic Central Class of 1959, Hank furthered his education at the then Ferris State Institute graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree of Pharmacology. He spent his career working as a self-employed pharmacist taking care of the people in his community. Wanting to serve his country, in 1964 Hank enlisted in the Air National Guard and spent thirty years serving our country. He retired from his service as a Lieutenant Colonel.
A true American, Hank spent his life working to better the lives of others. For over 40 years, he was the secretary for the State of Michigan Republican Party. He was active on the State Board of Pharmacy and served on the State Board of Dentistry as well. His hobby was politics. He assisted with various PAC organizations and was a diehard supporter of grassroots USA.
True to his faith, Hank attended St. Alphonsus Parish and is longtime member of the Knights of Columbus.
Generous with his time and committed to making his community, state and country a better place, Hank Fuhs will be remembered as a proud conservative and hardworking businessman.
Hank is survived by his sons: Henry (Adrianne) Fuhs, III and Bernie (Ivonne) Fuhs; his grandchildren: Henry IV, Andrew and Katherine, Emilio, Samantha, Alexandra and Lincoln; his brothers: William (Carol) Fuhs, John (Barbara) Fuhs and many other relatives.
Visitation for Hank will be held on Monday August 5, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel where a Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday August 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Parish where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial with military honors will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
Memorial donations in memory of Hank may be directed to Special Olympics or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
