Henry Richard Telman

Henry Richard Telman, 93 went to be with the Lord on February 21, 2018. Born on October 30, 1924 in Grand Rapids to Christian and Jenny (Koning) Telman. Henry is survived by his wife of 70 years, Anna Jane (Lindenschmidt) Telman, sons; Phillip (Susan Guhse) Telman, Darrell (Laura) Telman, Kevin (Denise) Telman and Samuel (Gail) Telman, daughter, Suzanne (Charles) Postma, 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers; Calvin (Lois) Telman, Eugene Telman, sister Carol (Greg) Krugler, many nieces, nephews and good friend Richard Peterson. Preceded in death by his parents Christian and Jenny Telman. Henry was a 1942 graduate of Christian High. He enlisted in the Army in 1943 and was in the 44th Combat Engineers, 256th Amphibius Engineers, Co. B unit in WWII and was honorably discharged in 1946. After the war he was employed at Johnson Furniture Company as a cabinet finisher and also employed at the U.S. Post Office as a postal clerk. Henry was a longtime member of Berean Baptist Church and served as class treasurer of the Berean Saints. He enjoyed cross stitching, oil painting and quilting. Visitation for Henry will be held on Sunday February 25, 2018 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel Funeral Home 2815 Fuller Ave NE Grand Rapids Michigan 49505. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday February 26, 2018 starting at 11 a.m. with a one hour visitation time prior to the service, also at Reyers North Valley Chapel with Pastors David Kennedy and Aaron Gregory officiating. Military Honors will be accorded to Henry by the U.S. Army and the Kent County Honor Guard. Family requests donations be made to; Berean Missionary Fund or the Poppen House Muskegon Michigan.
