Hilda Marie Moore

On August 28, 1948, Hilda was united in marriage to Mabry “Bill” Moore, they celebrated 45 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on February 2, 1994. In addition to her beloved husband, Hilda was preceded in death by her brothers, Art Johnson, Hans Johnson and Ray Leone and her sisters, Violet Visser and Betty Upson.

Hilda is survived by her children: Phyllis Moore, Steven (Carol) Moore and Gary (Renee) Moore; her grandchildren: Nicole (Jim) Wisnewski, Candice (Charles) Rolfe, Sara (Jason) Jones and Tiffany (Keith) Rice; her great-grandchildren: Eden (Jake) Klapko, Gabrielle (Charlie Sheneman) Wisnewski, James (Audrey) Wisnewski Jr., Joseph Wisnewski, Allison Wisnewski, Nayden (Hailey Muriset) Krupp, Mason Taylor, Tatum Rice and Everleigh Rice, and her great-great granddaughters Addelyn and Elloise Wisnewski as well as many other relatives.

Hilda dedicated her life to serving others. She supported the war effort by working in a factory during WWII, raised her family and managed the home, she was a long-time member of Central Christian Church, she shared her talents as a seamstress making clothes and home décor and she loved animals. She had many pets over the years, and her current cat, Star, an outside creature, loved her time relaxing in the garage giving her love and attention.

A visitation for Hilda will be held on Thursday July 30, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel. Private burial next to her beloved Bill will be at Washington Park Memorial Park.
