

James Harold Bouwhuis, aged 82, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, March 24, 2013. He was preceded in death by his brothers; Bernard and Kenneth, and sisters-in-law; Dorothy, Shirley, and June. Surviving are his wife of 58 years Patricia and their children; James (Jacqueline), Kathy (Ron) Morgan, Mary (Pete) Lewandoski, Patty Bouwhuis, Kevin (Karen), Brian (Mary), John (Gina), Tim (Denise), Bernie (Tina). Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 additional unborn great-grandchildren due in April and May, and his brothers Tom (Vera), Dick(Bonnie), Bob(Jackie), Jerry (Arlene), as well as many nieces, nephews, and many friends. James served in The United States Coast Guard, was a 1949 graduate of Catholic Central, a graduate of Aquinas College, and retired from The U.S. Department of Defense. He will be remembered for being our rock, and for the love he had for our entire family. He was always there for us and all activities throughout the years. He loved family Sunday dinners, to dance and a Notre Dame fan . . . GO IRISH! A special thank you to his many friends and visitors. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at St Jude Catholic Church with Rev. Thomas Page as celebrant. Visitation on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Reyers North Valley Chapel from both 2-4 and 6-9 pm with the Rosary at 7 pm. One hour of additional visitation at church from 10-11am prior to Mass of Wednesday. Please consider a memorial contribution to The Alzheimer’s Association or St Jude Catholic Church Building Fund in memory of James.
