Jennifer Lynne Reed

Jennifer Reed, age 43, of the Grand Rapids area, passed away unexpectedly on February 22, 2026, as a result of a car accident. Born in St. Charles, Missouri, Jennifer grew up in Rockford, Michigan, where she formed lifelong friendships and roots that shaped the caring, resilient woman she became. She attended both Rockford High School and Tri-County High School.

Jennifer built a meaningful career in the hospitality field, known for her warmth, professionalism, and the way she made people feel welcome. Most recently, she worked at Fire Rock Grille, where both coworkers and guests appreciated her dedication, kindness, and genuine spirit.

Jennifer loved fine dining, travel, beaches, cooking, and reading. She found joy in exploring new places, sharing good meals, and creating moments of comfort and connection for the people she loved.

She is survived by her children, Domenic Vece, and his fiancé, Karlie Gannon, and Ella Vece; her granddaughter Sienna Vece; her mother, Diane Powell; her father, David Reed; her grandmother, Marian Powell; her sister, Hilary Howland, and Hilary’s husband, Dennis Howland; and her uncle, Richard Powell Jr. Jennifer will be remembered for her generous heart, her sense of humor, and the love she shared so freely with everyone around her.

A celebration of her life will be held Sunday March 8, 2026 from 1pm to 4pm at the Rockford Ambulance Community Room, 8450 Shaner Ave NE, Rockford, MI 49341
