Joan Ann Velting

Joan Ann Velting, aged 74, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 05, 2015. Joan is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Nellie Haskins, her husband of 42 years Donald, a great-granddaughter Brianna, and her brother Jim Haskins. She is survived by her children, Dennis (JoAnn) Velting, Cathy (Dave) Renkema, Allen (Jenni) Velting; her grandchildren, Jessica (Brian) Miller, Staci Renkema, Melissa Britton, Mike Velting, Matt Velting, and Trevor Velting; great-grandchildren Ava, Isaiah, Peyton, and Caleb. Joan is also survived by her sisters Betty (Bob) Perks, Beverly (Freal) Reyner, Grace Jones, Jackie (Gene) Heibel, and Mari Velting. Please join the family for visitation at Reyers North Valley Chapel from 3-5pm and 7-9pm on Wednesday, January 7, 2015. The Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Northlawn United Methodist Church (1157 Northlawn St. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505) with Pastor Tim Wright officiating.
