Joanne M. Pendell Prager

Joanne Mae Prager, age 84, of Grand Rapids, passed away on her husband’s birthday, Friday, March 3, 2017. They will celebrate together forever in Heaven. She was born in the Spring of 1932 in Sparta, MI to the late Forest Pendell and Josephine King. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Charles Prager. Joanne will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Laura J. (Prager) Babcock and son, Chuck (Linda Ringleka) Prager; grandson, Christopher Prager; sister, Jean (Dan) Tuffelmire and her beloved cat, Ollie. Compassionate and caring, best describe Joanne. Her zest for life was shown through her love for her family and animals. As a devoted parent she was always there for her children. She touched the lives of many people and will truly be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 11:00 am at Reyers North Valley Chapel. Visitation will be Monday evening, March 6, 2017 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. An additional time of visitation will be from 10-11 am immediately prior to the funeral. Joanne will be laid to rest next to her husband in Blythefield Cemetery. Please consider a memorial contribution in Joanne’s honor to the charity of your choice.
