Joseph G. McGee

Joseph Gerard McGee, faithful husband, father, teacher, and coach passed away from this life to his eternal home in Heaven on January 31, 2012 at the age of 86. His wife Ruth preceded him in death in 1986. He is survived by his children Timothy (Kathy) McGee, Debra (Bill) Manson, Darcy Kersjes, Dan (Ginny) McGee, Tam (Don) Bigelow, Tom (Inga) McGee, Terri (Brian) Deuel, and Donna (David) Parish. Joe was blessed with 23 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Joseph was preceded in death by his brother John McGee, sister-in-law, Robby McGee, sister Eileen Mol, brother-in-law, Don Mol, and brother-in-law, Jim Woodworth. He is survived by his sister Marianne Woodworth, brother Tom (Fran) McGee and a special friend, Donna VanOcker. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012 at St. Alphonsus Catholic, 224 Carrier N.E. (meet at church), with Rev. Lamar Partin C.Ss.R. as Celebrant. Interment in Maple Grove Cemetery in Elk Rapids, Michigan. If you would like to pay your respects to Joseph, please visit the Reyers North Valley Chapel from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday February 3rd, and one hour prior to the mass at the church.
