Joyce May Wright

Joyce May Wright, aged 84, passed away at home surrounded by her family, on Sunday, February 15, 2015. Joyce was born July 26, 1930 in Grand Rapids to the late Claude and Ila Southard. She is preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Calvin, their son Calvin, and her brother Wayne. Joyce is survived by her daughters Cathy (Jack) Geller, Karen Bessey, Sharon Wright, 5 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters Barb Lobdell, Shirley Gray, and Corlene Southard. Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with friends and playing her dice games. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, as well as camping with her family. Joyce was also an enthusiastic bowler. She enjoyed 22 years as a bus driver for Forest Hills public schools. She will be missed as the heart of the family.
