

Kenneth Allen Portner, aged 57, passed away unexpectedly and went home to be with his Lord on Friday, May 4, 2012. He was preceded in death by his father Carl Portner, and grandfather Theodore Cesarano. Surviving are his wife Judith, mother Norma, and children Joseph (Shelly Jones) Portner, Mindy Portner, Renee (Larry) Teeple, Steven (Terri) Gillis, Wendi Gillis, Melanie (Marc) Heisenfeldt, and Michael Gillis. Also surviving are grandchildren Dylan, Kaleb, 9 special grandchildren, brothers Robert (Sherry) Portner, Carl (Muriel) Portner Jr. as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Kenneth was a Local 1231 and 730 U.A.W. Representative for over 15 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and he loved the Lord with all his heart. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2012 at St. Jude Catholic Church with Rev. Tom Page officiating. Visitations will be held on Wednesday, May 9 from 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday May 10, from both 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with the Rosary being prayed on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. all at Reyers North Valley Chapel.
