Leonard Hammond

Leonard W. Hammond, age 93, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 4, 2013. He will be deeply missed by his wife Doris Hammond; daughter Deborah Thiel; step-children; several grandchildren, several great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughters Willow Braginton, Patricia Winegar and Kathy Deabbous. Leonard was the owner and President of Advanced Tool and Die; where he worked for a number of years. One thing that he was extremely proud of was the record he holds for the most consecutives hunting seasons for deer, with a gun, where an individual obtains a deer. The family will be greeting friends on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Reyers North Valley Chapel; 2815 Fuller Ave. NE, Grand Rapids MI 49505. The service to celebrate Leonard’s life will be held at 1PM on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Cascade Christian Church; 2829 Thornapple River Dr SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. Contributions in Leonard’s memory may be made to Cascade Christian Church or to your favorite charity.
