

Leonard Leo Radecki, aged 95, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, September 14, 2015. He was born in Toledo, Ohio to Frank and Stella Radecki in the fall of 1919. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Bettie and their great granddaughter Nichole Reges. Leonard will be lovingly remembered by his two sons Leonard (Carol) and Robert Radecki; grandchildren Laura (Paul) Reges, Leonard (Ashley) Radecki and Julie (John) Halquist; 8 great grandchildren and his siblings Emily, Helen, Esther, Chester and Richard. After moving to Grand Rapids in 1957, Leonard continued his profession career with the Doehler-Jarvis Company retiring after 45 years of dedicated service. After his retirement, being a man of great talent and vitality, he became a wonderful, self-taught artist in the leaded glass field. Custom lamps and windows became his specialty and many of his works can be found in homes throughout West Michigan. He was also an accomplished woodworker. Leonard’s family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the caretakers at both Pilgrim Manor and Spectrum Health, Blodgett Hospital. Please join the family for a time of visitation from 6-8pm on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Reyers North Valley Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Sacrament Parish, (2275 Diamond Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505) on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 11:00 am with one hour a visitation prior.
