Lester "Les" George Moyer

Les was a 1958 graduate of Cadillac High School, he was a member of the All-State football team during his senior year. Les went on to work various jobs in retail and even owed his own NAPA Automotive in Cedar Springs. In his free time Les loved to golf, and go fishing. He instilled his love for fishing in all of his grandchildren, teaching them all the love and patience of the pass time. He would spend his summers camping with his family in Cadillac, and his winters as a "snowbird" in Panama City Beach, Florida. Les loved the beach and being out on the water boating. Les loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed playing board games with them and teaching them how to play cribbage and yahtzee. Les was a dedicated husband, father, and papa. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Les was preceded in death by: parents, Phylix and Virginia Moyer; siblings, Irvin, Herbert, Sonny, Kathleen, Patricia, Merna, Virginia Mae, Phylix, Barbara, Billy, and Glenn; as well as, adoptive parents, Clarence and Mildred Springberg.

Les is survived by: wife of 62 years, Linda Moyer; children, Kelly (Don) Burden, Todd (Barb) Moyer, and Kristine (Michael) Main; grandchildren, Jessica (Andrew) Groeneveld, Nicholas (Alicia) Morse, Ryan (Krista) Morse, and Brianna Main; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Alta, John, Betty, and Mary; as well as, several nieces, nephews, close friends, and other extended family.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Julie of Emmanuel Hospice for her compassionate care of Les in his final days.

In accordance with Les' wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 4:00 pm at Reyers North Valley Chapel. The family will welcome guests starting at 2:00 pm until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Emmanuel Hospice or Meca's Angels.
