Lois R. Vredeveld Van Straten

Lois Ruth Van Straten [Vredeveld], aged 88, passed away Monday, February 1, 2016 and was reunited with her husband of 50 years, John, who passed away in 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Reka Vredeveld, her siblings, and great-grandson Alex Noragon. Lois is survived by her children Tom (Brenda) Van Straten of Eaton Rapids, MI, Dianne (Tom) Roode of Grand Rapids, MI, Cindy (Phillip) Kostelyk of Hammond, IN, John (Jackie) Van Straten of Caledonia, MI, her 8 grandchildren Heather (Ray) Noragon and their children Zack and Josh, Audra Legg and her children Samantha and Madison, Kevin (Mindy) Van Straten and their children Piper and Paxton, Sara (Adam) Murray and their children Ella and Maven, John (Marta) Van Straten and their children Sofia and John Paul, Phil (Jill) Van Straten and their children Lydia and Austin, Tim (Natalie) Van Straten and their child Anthony, and Christopher Van Straten and his fiancé Alexandra. The family would like to thank the staff of Heartland Health Care and Heartland Hospice, especially Tami, for the loving care given to Lois over the last 3 years. Per Lois’ wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on June 25th with times to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution in Lois’ name to the Heartland Hospice.
