Lorenzo "Ren" Spoors

Mr. Lorenzo Jay Spoors, age 47, of Hudsonville, formerly of Holland, passed into his Saviour's embrace on February 22, 2014, at approximately 4am. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl James Spoors and his mother Zelda Jane Spoors. Surviving are his wife of nearly 21 years, Jeanna Lynn Spoors (Dekam); children, Joseph Andrew (16) and Dominic Lorenzo (20); brothers, Jack (Susan) Spoors, Earl (Vivian) Spoors Jr.; sister, Deborah (Lisa) Spoors. Lorenzo was first and foremost a strong Christian man. He devoted his life and heart to his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm as an F-18 Aircraft Mechanic. After the Corps, he worked for the Holland BPW for nearly 21 years, as both Boiler Operator and Lead Operator. He selflessly gave his time in handling his father and mothers affairs as land lord and property manager of Legacy Enterprises, LLC, located in Cadillac, Michigan. He was a loving and ever providing father, a devoted and caring husband, a strongly convicted Christian, and a deeply patriotic Marine. He touched countless lives, and was taken far too soon from all of us. We all draw peace from the fact that he has finally reached the reward in Heaven he so fervently earned. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Community Reformed Church, 10376 Felch Street, Zeeland, Michigan with Rev. James Busscher of Holland Michigan officiating. Relatives and friends are encouraged to meet Ren's family and each other from 5-7pm. The service will commence at 7pm, with an open reception to follow.
