M. Stanley Kuklewski

Stan was born May 9, 1931 in Grand Rapids, MI to Stanley and Lottie (Hopon) Kuklewski. In August of 1952 Stan married Dorothy “Dot” Kierepka at St. James Church. Stan was a hard worker who held 2 jobs for most of his life including working security for Meijer for 40 years and as a sheriff reserve for Kent County. He also worked in assembly at Kirkoff. During the Korean conflict Stan entered the Army and served from 1952 to 1954.

Stan was a loving husband and father who cared deeply about his faith and his family. He was most passionate about working on and taking care of his yard. There wasn’t a tree, shrub, or blade of grass in the yard that he didn’t put there. He also enjoyed helping his wife at St. Jude Church and played an active role there.

Stan is survived by his wife of 70 years Dorothy; his son Kraig (Cheryl); his grandchildren Joseph and Chelsea; sisters Stephanie (Robert) Thomas and Delores (Joseph) Hula; step-brother Andrew (Remy) Kuklewski; in-laws Kathy and Robert Kierepka and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other close friends.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday June 26, 2023 at 11:15 A.M. at St Jude Catholic Church, 1120 4 Mile Rd NE, Grand Rapids, MI. Friends may visit with the family prior to the service beginning at 9:15 A.M. at the church. Memorial donations may be made in Stan’s name to God’s Kitchen, 303 Division Ave S, Grand Rapids, MI.
