Margaret J. Cartwright

Margaret Jean Cartwright, age 82, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014. Maggie is survived by her three sons, Steve of Safety Harbor Fl, Mike (Renae) of Orlando Fl, and Jeff (Cathy) of Grand Rapids. Also surviving are her sisters, Sue Smith and Linda Wiltse; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Norman D. Cartwright; brother, Richard Watkins; sister, Marilyn Blink; her mother and step-father, Dorothy and Harlow Carr; and her father Paul Watkins. Maggie and Dick raised their children in Alpine Township and then moved to Safety Harbor, Florida where they retired. Maggie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, loved animals, and had many cherished pets throughout the years. She was a gifted musician and never missed an opportunity to perform or enjoy live music with her friends. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial celebration for Maggie is scheduled to take place at Reyers North Valley Chapel, Friday, August 22 from 4-6 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to a Hospice agency of your choice.
