

Maribeth Schmitt, aged 61, passed away early in the morning on Tuesday, February 17, 2015. Maribeth was born in Burlington, Vermont to the late Melvin and Shirley Schmitt in 1953. She is survived by her 4 siblings Thomas (Sharon) Schmitt, Karen (Paul) Burd, Matthew (Maria) Schmitt, and Mark (Donna) Schmitt; her nieces and nephews Jeffrey Schmitt, Leah Schmitt, Travis (Zazil) Burd, Camden (Erin) Burd, Louis (Stephanie) Ressler, Julia Kane, Jennifer Kane, Jacob Schmitt, Malia DeBoer, Rachel DeBoer, and Rebecca DeBoer. Also surviving are her very special aunt Margaret Schmitt, many cousins, and friends. Maribeth was known for her amazing sense of humor. She had many hobbies throughout the years, but one of the most memorable was her love of cooking, baking and being in the kitchen making Christmas candy for her family. She had a passion for music especially the Rolling Stones, and sports like fast-pitch softball and volleyball. Maribeth was also involved in a pool league, rock-n-roll trivia groups, and enjoyed her time working at Meijer. Please join Maribeth’s family for a time of visitation on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Reyers North Valley Chapel from 7-9pm. A Memorial service celebrating her life officiated by Faith Hospice Chaplain Eric Coulon will be held Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 11am with an additional hour of visitation prior.
