Marilou Gladstone, 6/19/30-11/23/20, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family. She is survived by her children: David Gladstone, Debra (Richard) Gladstone-Comeau, Hollis Anne Gladstone, Scott (Julia) Gladstone.
She was a wonderful mother to her children. Her grandchildren: Matthew, Zachry, Luke (Emily), Elizabeth and her great grandchildren William and Benjamin were her joy.
She was devoted to her brothers and sisters, and held a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews.
Her kindness and clever wit endeared her to all those that met her.
Marilou loved learning and discovery through books and interacting with others, young and old. Her final passion was teaching literacy to bilingual (ESL) children. She had an affinity for water, especially sailing, kayaking, swimming, watching sunsets, shelling, sitting in the sand daydreaming. She loved creating, whether she was painting, sewing, quilting or gardening. She loved to sing with others. “The only thing better than singing, is more singing!”.
A special thank you to Jaime and Ronni for the loving care they provided.
With the uncertainty of the pandemic at the of Marilou's passing, we decided the perfect time to honor her would be on her birthday. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service on Saturday June 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel where the family will greet guests for an hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the World Literacy Fund. https://worldliteracyfoundation.org/
