Maritza Maria Nunez

Maritza Maria Nunez, aged 60, went to be with her Heavenly Father and Savior on February 2, 2015 in Grand Rapids, MI after a courageous battle with cancer. Maritza was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to Pedro Antonio and Maria Elana Nunez in 1954. Maritza was preceded in death by her father. Surviving are her daughter Eulalia Maria Carney; grandsons Zachary, James and Logan as well as her Mother Maria Gonzalez of Florida and brothers Pedro Nunez and Gregorio both of New York. Maritza will be fondly remembered as a caring and loving mother and grandmother as well as devoted employee of the Roskam / Starr Puff Bakery and a faithful member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. She enjoyed crocheting and was an avid gardener. A funeral service has been scheduled for Friday, February 6, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Reyers North Valley Chapel with family meeting with friends at 10:00 am for an hour of visitation. Private interment to follow at Holy Corners Cemetery in Caledonia Township. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion of Spectrum Health
