Midge was a devout Catholic and a parishioner at St. Jude Catholic Church for over 57 years. She loved reading, growing beautiful flowers, dancing, and listening to all kinds of music. But family was Midge’s greatest love. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world. The Grand Rapids home where she lived for 56 years became known as “the house.” All holidays and special family gatherings took place under that roof, and Midge loved to host. Decades of unforgettable memories were made within those walls.
Midge was a beloved wife, sharing 25 years with the late Norman Nawrot and 38 years with the late Richard Golczynski.
Midge is survived by her children, Daniel (Karen), Norman Jack Jr., Charles (Carol), David (Laura), Theresa (Cary), Eric (Amy), Dennis Arp; 9 stepchildren; 27 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Esther Heemstra; and her niece and best friend, Maureen. Midge was preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Pecor; daughter, Carolyn, daughters-in-law, Sylvia and Mary; and grandchildren, Shawn, Shannon, and Mary.
She will be missed by all.
