Dear Bart and Mary, Your mother was the first sorority sister to welcome me to Grand Rapids in 1992.  I laughed so hard my side ached. I will forever be grateful for her graciousness and kindness toward me.  My heart knows how you feel at this sorrowful time.

When I first became a member of Beta Sigma Phi over thirty years ago, one of the first people I met outside of my chapter was Marty.  In the Grand Rapids area, Marty WAS Beta Sigma Phi and exemplified what it meant when we say "I am thy sister." I knew Marty from Oxbow Campground, she had some wonderful stories.  Sorry for your loss, but I am sure you have lots of memories of her.

Marty was the face of our sorority, Beta Sigma Phi.  She was always dressed properly and very outgoing to new members.  We enjoyed her humor and kindness.  She will be missed by so many but she leaves many, many good memories.

Marty will be sadly missed  by the second Tuesday of the month lunch group at Branns. We have been getting to gather monthly since the 50'S. The "girls" from Ottawa Hills High School.

Marty was always the one who organized our McNabb family reunions. I can only imagine the fantastic family reunion she is already organizing in Heaven!

Although no words can really help to ease your loss, please know that you are very close in every thought and prayer of each sorority sister who knew this wonderful woman.  Alice Zuidema
