Marvin Louis Matthews

Marvin Louis Matthews, aged 86 passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 5, 2015. Marvin is preceded in death by his first wife of over 50 years, Joyce Matthews, and second wife Patricia Meekes. He is survived by his children Thomas (Alice) Matthews, Deborah Bazzett, Diane (Roger) White, Denise (Nelson) Bazzett, Donna (Robert) Offley, Terry (Tina) Matthews, Melissa Matthews, and stepdaughter Patty (Dan) Coykendall. Marvin is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, and special caregiver Elizabeth Adams. Marvin will be remembered as a hardworking and devoted Dad. He was a member of the American Veterans Post #23, and had proudly served his country in the United States Army. Please join the family for a time of visitation from 6-8pm on Wednesday March 11, 2015 at Reyers North Valley Chapel. The service to honor Marvin’s life will be held at 11am on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Reyers North Valley Chapel with an additional hour of visitation prior. Interment at Blythefield Memory Garden.
