He passed in the comfort of his home surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Betty Riemersma; his children Don Riemersma, Jim Trotter, Sandie (Craig) Clugston, Connie Hiemstra, Gloria Barrientos, Betty (Jerry) Bergeron, Stella Webber, Victoria Merrill, James (Jeanette) Barrientos; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2PM to 4PM on Sunday, October 8 at Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505. A funeral service for Marvin will be held on Monday, October 9 at Faith United Church of God, 3290 Walker Ave NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49544 at 11:00 with luncheon to follow. Friends may visit with the family 1 hour before the service at Church. A graveside service will be held at 2PM at Chapel Hill Cemetery at 2894 Patterson Ave. SE., Grand Rapids, MI.
