Mary Ellen DeKorte

Mary Ellen DeKorte, age 77, passed away on May 6, 2025, just two days shy of her birthday. Mary was born on May 8, 1947, in Zeeland, Michigan one of three children born to Frank & Evelyn (Kuyers) Kuntz.

Early in her working career, Mary was a dental hygienist. However, the desire to work for herself led to her owning and operating Compu-Data Payroll where she spent many years delivering quality services to her clients.

On Valentine’s Day in 1988, among a beautiful Hawaiian backdrop, Mary was united in marriage to the love of her life, Thomas DeKorte. Both loved the tropical weather and spent many years splitting their time between Michigan in the summer and their winters in West Palm Beach in Florida.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Tom; her sister Diana (Ron) Martinie and her brother Jay (Jan) Kuntz; her brother-in-law Jim (Mary) DeKorte and her sisters-in-law Elaine DeKorte and Judy DeKorte as well as many other relatives.

Visitation for Mary will be held on Monday May 12, 2025, from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel where a funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Fairplains Cemetery.
