

Michael James Raudenbush Sr., age 73, of Grand Rapids passed away, on January 16, 2018. He was born in Harvey, Illinois in 1944 to the late Nellie and Charles Raudenbush. Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Kathy (Holton); children Heather (Steve) Burke, Michael (Mariza) Raudenbush; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; in-laws Karen (Gary) Biegler, Kevin (Carol) Holton, Kris (John) Dulapa and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, in the 26th infantry of the 1st division. Michael was the former Post Commander of American Legion Post 459 located in Grand Rapids and a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America. Michael had a successful career of 30 years working for the United States Postal Service as a Safety Specialist. He and Kathy enjoyed traveling to the Upper Peninsula with their children. Michael was an avid reader and enjoyed cheering for Michigan State and the Detroit Tigers. He will be remembered for his humor and as a loving spouse, father and grandfather.
Visitation will take place from 2-5 and 7-9 PM on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Reyers North Valley Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church, with an additional time of visitation beginning prior to the service at 10 am. Michael will be interred at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
