Michael L. Van Weezel

Mike graduated from Creston High School. He had a career of a conveyor belt slitter operator at Sparks Belting Company and retired from there.

Mike had a passion for golf. He played exceptionally well and was on two different golf leagues each week during the golf season.

He was preceded in death by his parents; John and Eleanor Van Weezel; stepbrother James Haisley; stepsister Susan Poortenga; stepbrother John Van Dam; brother John Van Weezel, sister, Margaret (Larry) Seekman, sister-in-law, Nancy Van Weezel.

He was survived by his partner Dee Igleski of 40 years; her sister Charlotte Lastacy with her family of nephews and nieces plus their spouses along with many great-nephews and nieces; his brother Charles Van Weezel; nephew Robert Van Weezel; niece Terri (Jason) Waichum; sister-in-law Joan Van Weezel; nephew Scott Van Weezel and children; niece Robin (Rick) Vargo and their child; nephew Todd (Amanda) Van Weezel and their child; his stepsister Sandra Stob and his nephew Ken Portenga.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 11:00AM - 1:00PM at Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave. Grand Rapids, Michigan 49505.
