Nancy Kay Atkinson

Nancy was a graduate of Comstock Park High School, and went on to work several jobs throughout her life - including working as a hairdresser for several years. She held many creative interests at various stages of her life, such as, painting, sewing, and cross-stitch. Nancy had a knack for antiques. She loved to collect them and display them around her house. She also had a passion for horses. Nancy was a funny, loving, and caring woman who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Nancy was preceded in death by: husband, Thomas Atkinson in 2017; parents, Byron and Kathleen Kinney; and brother-in-law, Tom Pierce.

Nancy is survived by: children, Rebekah Snyder, Angela (Trev) Powers, and Ryan (Diane) Atkinson; grandchildren, Lacy and Megan Powers; brother, Keith (Sharon) Kinney; brothers-in-law, Frank (Betty) Atkinson, and Al (Sally) Atkinson; sister-in-law, Sue Pierce; best friend, Shari Berry; as well, many other close friends and extended family.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, February 1st, 2025 from 11:00am to 2:00pm at Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505.
