Nancy Readle, 78 passed away on May 19, 2018, at home with her family by her side. Born on April 13, 1940 to Elmer “Buck” and Tyne Ojala in Petoskey, Michigan. United in marriage to Charles Readle on September 10, 1960. Survived by her loving husband Charles and children; Charles Readle Jr., Christopher (Laura) Readle, Jennifer (Michael) Travis. Grandchildren; Jeremiah (Chrysta) Readle, Elizabeth (Jon) Brinkmeier, Hannah (Brian) Rose and awaiting the arrival of her Great Grandson Cameron Christopher Brinkmeier. Also survived by sisters; Marie (Dave) Rees, Elaine Ojala-Hoekwater, many nieces nephews and several grand dogs. Preceded in death by her parents Buck and Tyne, sister Johanna, brother Richard and brother in law Gene Hoekwater. Nancy loved to quilt, country paint and her garden. She also loved her birds and squirrels. She left nursing school to follow her real passion in life, her family. Nancy was a hospice volunteer for several years in Fremont. Along with being chairman of the Fremont Library Book Sales. In her early years she was Den Mother for the Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts. She was an inspiration to all, strong and courageous during her battle with cancer. She never lost her ability to shine, laugh and love. Nancy was everyone’s best friend. She will never be forgotten and will be dearly missed. Visitation for Nancy will be on Tuesday May 22, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel Funeral Home. A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held Wednesday at Reyers North Valley Chapel starting with a 10 a.m. visitation, until the time of the funeral at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Faith Hospice.
