

Norman “Jack” Nawrot, age 73 passed away at his home surrounded by family on February 16, 2026. Norman was born on September 26, 1952, one of the seven children born to Norman & Marjorie (Rusche) Nawrot.
After graduating from Creston High School, Norman entered the workforce. He worked for Knape & Vogt for 36 years and completed his career working as hi-lo operator for Kenco Logistics, retiring after 14 years of service.
On May 6, 1972, Norman was united in marriage to the love of his life, Sylvia Lamba. Together, they raised two children instilling in them a strong work ethic and dedication to family.
When Norman wasn’t working, he loved traveling. Florida and Las Vegas were favorite destinations. He also enjoyed fishing with the ones he loved. He loved spending time at his favorite “watering hole”, Vitalies, where he made many friends over the years and had all his favorite bartendress’ who treated him like family.
A hard-working man who enjoyed the “cha-ching” of a slot machine win and a warm hug from a grandchild, Norman will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Norman is survived by his children: Jamie (Joe) Smits and Mike (Ashleigh) Nawrot; his grandchildren: Michael, Samantha, Lauren, Grayson, Tristan, Gabriel and Adrien; his great-grandchildren: Sadie and Mason; his siblings: Dan (Karen) Nawrot, Dave (Laura) Nawrot, Tammy Patton and Eric (Amy) Nawrot and his sister-in-law Carol Hancock as well as many other relatives and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 32 years, Sylvia in 2004; his sister Carolyn (Denny) Arp; his brother Chuck Nawrot, his sister-in-law Mary Straton and his brother-in-law Cary Patton as well as his parents.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday February 22, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel with an opportunity to share memories around 4:00.
Memorial donations may be made in memory of Norman to Trinity Health Hospice.
