Odis D. Sikes, age 70, passed away peacefully in the company of family Monday February 22, 2016, after a brief illness. He was born in the Spring of 1945 to John and Irene Sikes who along with his Brothers Joe, Lemul and John Sikes as well as his sister Margaret Crews precede him in death. David will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years Gertrude Anna (Strikwerda) and their daughter Connie (Mike) Acton. He will be greatly missed by dog and best buddy “Sport”. David was a dedicated employee of USF Holland Motors for 25 years. He and Gertrude were active members of Solid Rock Baptist Church. Funeral services officiated by Pastor Nathan Walworth have been scheduled to take place on Friday February 26, 2016 at Reyers North Valley Chapel at 11:00 AM. Visitation will take place at the Funeral Home Thursday February 25 from 5-8 PM with an additional visitation scheduled for one hour prior to the funeral on Friday. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made in David’s memory to Solid Rock Baptist Church.
