Patricia "Patty" Dupuy, age 60, of Cedar Springs, Michigan passed away after a two year, hard fought battle with lung cancer on Friday, January 8, 2021. Patty was born January 9, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan. She was a model patient in her two year battle as she remained positive and strong with resilience the entire duration.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Edward Broome Sr., siblings, Edward Broome Jr., Joseph Broome, Gerald Broome, Kenny Broome, Tommy Broome, David Broome, and Richard Broome.

Patty is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Albert Dupuy, and their children, Toni (Scott) Jolman, Bert (Megan) Dupuy, her grandchildren, Matteo Tofano, Jersi Tofano, Makenzie Jolman, Amelia Dupuy, Mattie Dupuy and a soon to be great grandchild, Baby Boy Tofano. Patty is also survived by her siblings, Albert, Benjamin, Paul, Debra, Brenda, Jeanette, and lifelong friend, Melinda Dropp.

Patty was a remarkable personification of a family’s matriarch. Being a good mother and a good wife was very important to her and she was exceptional. Patty always knew how to meet a struggle or bad day in your life and leave you feeling optimistic and at ease, and while you might not have liked the things she had to say, you always knew they were exactly what you needed to hear. She loved being there for her family. Patty had a realness that connected and her logic always stood up. She had a profound way of always remaining in tune with her children and grandchildren, being able to relate at every progression of their life, from playing Barbie’s with the girls for hours, to always being a source of comfort and wisdom. She knew what you needed and when it was you needed it. Patty would help you think clearer and for yourself, to see a way through when before you could not. She was strong in her beliefs and never wavered. The friendships she had in life she held dearly, and they were ones she maintained her whole life.

Patty will be missed deeply, by many.

Patty was a true friend for 30 + years we raised our children together, listened to great music, shared victoy and defeat in our life together. When I got ill she would say ;;' I dont want to lose you'. She always was there when I needed her the most and we became a team alot. She and I would play scrabble hundreds of times 1 time I beat her but 1 time, but think she let me win LOL.
REST IN PEACE UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN LOVE YOU
