

Richard Lee (Dick) Fuller, Sr. aged 78, peacefully went to eternal rest with our Lord Sunday, May 8, 2011 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Grace (Totten), his brothers, Roger, Perry, Raymond, and his sister, Doris (Sidor-Huver). He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joan (nee Blok). His children, Marcia English (Ted VanderVlist), Richard, Jr. (Lee), Ken (Kathy), Cheryl Orlikowski (John), David (Angie), Kathy Fuller (Denny Keister), and Michelle McClary; 20 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, a brother Harry (Jean), sister, Francis Fuller, sister-in-law, Nancy Fuller, and brother-in-law, James D. Blok, Sr. (Sandra), many nieces and nephews. Dick was a graduate of Creston High School in 1951, served 9 years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War on the battleship U.S.S. Missouri, and two destroyers, the U.S.S. Henderson, and the U.S.S. Richard B. Anderson. Dick retired from CSX Railroad; Grand Rapids and Waverly Yards, was a lifetime member of the Creston VFW Post #3023 where he followed in his father's footsteps as the Commander, Quartermaster, and many other office positions. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Reyers North Valley Chapel. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. If you would like to pay your respects to Dick, please visit the chapel from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. For those who wish, memorials may be made to Spectrum Health-Hospice, or the American Cancer Society.
