Richard E. Malone

Richard E. Malone passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born in the summer of 1930 to his parents, Joseph & Marie Malone in Grand Rapids. A lifetime resident of the area, Richard worked as a Realtor for many years. He was also a proud U.S. Navy Veteran having served during the Korean War. Richard will be remembered as a Master Storyteller. His larger than life stories he would tell were aspiring to all. He loved hobbies such as golfing, aviation, Grand Rapids history, and fishing. Most of all he loved his family! Richard is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Patricia Green. Surviving is his wife, Jacqueline of 64 years; sons, Patrick (Suzanne) Malone, Dennis (Judy) Malone, and William (Linda) Malone, as well as 5 grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 8 at Reyers North Valley Chapel at 2:00 pm. Family will receive visitors from 12- 2:00 pm preceding the service. Burial will take place privately at Resurrection Cemetery.
