My dad was a military veteran of the US Army. When he was discharged he received papers called the DD 214. A few years back he entrusted those documents into my care. He told me that the DD 214 is his most precious document that he has and I will need it at his passing. Guess what documents I lost? The elusive DD 214. I am now in the process of replacing those documents however working with the US government is a painstaking and slow process. Dad, I got this one for you.

Your Son
Love you always
Tom
