Ronald Roby Lamb, age 90, passed away on November 20, 2018. He was born on August 21, 1928, in Medford, MA, the son of the late William and Margaret (Gallagher) Lamb. Ron is survived by his six children, Chuck (Sherry), Brad (Vonnie), Craig, Doug, Denise (Mike) McDonald, Anne Marie (Mark) Groenleer; sister, Barbara Chrispell; sister-in-laws, Joan Lamb and Janet Hockanson; brother-in-law, Keith Knapp; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and one due in February; and numerous other friends and family who will miss him dearly, especially neighbors from Oakcliff Drive. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Barbara; siblings, Geraldine, William, Carl, Ken, and his twin brother, Don. Ron graduated from Holland High School and then joined the U.S. Army, where he served honorably in the Korean War. After leaving the Army, he became a Grand Rapids City Firefighter, where he was recognized as Firefighter-Of-The-Year during his 30 years of service. Ron was a dedicated father and grandfather. He was also quite the handyman, and often volunteered his time to help friends and family with all sorts of home projects. Ron loved the outdoors, especially camping, fishing, and hunting. He was also a lifelong U of M football fan. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to the Pilgrim Manor Library Fund (2000 Leonard St. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505).

This is my first time hunting at the farm in Holland. Grandpa will never know how many people he influenced.
