On August 20, 2026 Sally began her new chapter in the arms of the Lord. Sally was born and raised in Grand Rapids where she attended Creston High School before moving forward with her education at Central Michigan University obtaining her teaching degree. Later in life she continued her studies at Aquinas College updating her education degree. Sally began her career with Forest Hills Public Schools where she taught art. After 32 years she retired from Northern Hills. Not one to slow down, Sally picked up a part time job at a Veterinary Clinic a few days a week for Dr. Rodger Vander Werff. Sally loved art in all mediums but truly found quilting and pastels to be her favorite. She loved the sun and sand, summers in Baldwin, winters in Florida, shopping (especially open markets and consignment shops), her amazing flower gardens, and her golden retrievers. Most of all she loved her grandchildren. Sally was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Esther Lucas, husband and father of her children Calvin Sytsma, loving husband Charles Quigley, brother Robert (Mary Kay) Lucas and her grandson Garret Sheets. Sally is survived by her children Sue (Sytsma) Brubacher, Sandra (Billy) Loveday, Bill (Colleen) Sytsma, Bart (Racheal) Quigley, grandchildren Kaley (Jared), Andrew, Emily, Zachary, Zane, Dylan (Amber) and Alex as well as many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
A special thank you to St. Ann's for their outstanding care and compassion.
