Thomas Henry Smith, age 72, of Rockford, passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord on October 3, 2019. I played so many rounds of golf with Tom.
I was great to compete against him, but it was even more fun to play with him on scramble teams at Scott Lake, Rolling Hills, Meadowbrook, Arrowhead, Grand Island and other courses. Boy, that was a while ago; half of those courses aren’t even around anymore. He was always in charge, as the Captain and we would listen to him(most of the time).
