Thomas Edward Vredevelt, aged 71, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Rockford, MI on August 26, 2014. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Edward and mother, Madeline and is survived by his beloved wife, Christine "Christy" (Nader); son, Tommy (Charlene) Vredevelt; daughter, Sally (Jeff) Smith; step-daughter, Mindi Webb; step-son, Ben Loder; nine grandchildren; his sister, Mary; and brother, John. Thomas will be remembered as a selfless family man and his love for others was evident throughout his life. He enjoyed hiking, bicycling, gardening, and especially traveling in his motor home. Please join his family for visitation at Reyers North Valley Chapel on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 5-8 PM. Additional visitation from 10-11 AM will be followed by Funeral services at 11 AM on Saturday, August 30, 2014 in the chapel of Calvary Church (707 East Beltline Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525).
