While attending Creston High School, the call came for Tim to serve our country. He was drafted into the Army and proudly served during the Vietnam war. After his honorable discharge, Tim settled back into civilian life and a career as a truck driver.
He spent his career driving for Spartan Stores and Shanahan and Son before retiring. He loved baseball and was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers.
Tim leaves behind his son Timothy (Allyssa) Shanahan; his two amazing grandchildren Mya (19) and Will (13); his three sisters: Diane (Skip) Micele, Lou Sacha and Marilyn (Dick) Rogers and his beloved cat, Barney as well as many other friends and relatives.
Tim’s legacy will be honored at a later date at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek. A Celebration of Life is in the process of being planned.
