Wayne B. Trimpe, age 100, of Wyoming passed away September 03, 2019. Surviving are his children; Susan (Rick) Olmsted of Las Vegas, Thomas (Lori) Trimpe of Ada, Jeffrey (Cheryl) Trimpe of Grand Rapids grandchildren; Rosie Oldham, Andy (Lindsay) Trimpe, Eileen (Joe) Czabaranek, Stacey (Chris) Quinn, Audrey (Luke) Hersman, Wesley (Carrie) Trimpe; great grandchildren Alex Trimpe, Amelia Czabaranek and Carter Quinn. Wayne lived a long joyous life with a passion for skiing, golfing and traveling with friends and family. A graduate from South High, Wayne later served his country shortly after at the age of 21. A Veteran from World War II over in Europe, Wayne proudly served his country in the Army as a machinist while earning three bronze battle stars. He returned home to start a wonderful family with Lorraine Trimpe and his three children, while running a successful business in commercial lighting for many years. Wayne continued to stay active with the V.A. through his local American Legion on Roger B. Chaffee and looked forward to weekly gatherings the organization provided. His family will always remember him for his great sense of humor, his gift of conversation, candid personality and his great love for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM on Monday, September 9, 2019 at Reyers North Valley Chapel. A memorial service will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 also at the funeral home.
