Wendelin Schmich age 80 of Grand Rapids passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years Virginia, children; Gloria Schmich, Richard (Colleen) Schmich, grandchildren Rick and Ryan Schmich, adopted daughter and son-in-law Linda (David) Maue, brother Frank (Adele) Schmich, sister-in-law Eleanor Mueller, niece, nephews and extended relatives over in Germany. Wendelin retired from Betz Industries after 46 years of service. He loved his family including his grand-puppies and traveling. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church 2275 Diamond Ave NE with Rev. George Darling as celebrant. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Reyers North Valley Chapel 2815 Fuller Ave NE and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at church.
