To the family; you have my deepest sympathy and prayers. I met Yvonna at the Methodist Connection along with her husband; what a lively and great couple. We worked together on the Methodist Connection for years. The picnics, book clubs and Christmas caroling will have a big void in it without Yvonna. God bless her husband and family as they go through this transition.

Many years ago, Yvonne and a few others planned a new initiative, The Methodist Connection, which was a collaboration between First United Methodist Church (my church) and 3 area black churches. Because of her efforts, wonderful interracial friendships were made which have lasted many years. Our club met monthly at Yvonne and John's home, where we enjoyed a delicious meal (Yvonne was a great cook), meaningful conversation, and we even talked a little bit about our book. :) Yvonne and John were generous and gracious hosts to all our members. She will be greatly missed.

My condolences to John and the family.
Always a pleasure to spend time with both of you, square dancing.
It is so hard being away for so long.
Prayers for you and your family.
Hope to stop by at some point.
