Betty Jo Moore, 85, Belton, MO formerly of South Kansas City, died January 8, 2011 at Research Medical Center. Visitation will be 10-11 AM Saturday, January 15 at McGilley & George Funeral Home 12913 Grandview Rd Grandview, MO. A graveside service following in Mt. Moriah Cemetery Kansas City, MO. Ms. Moore was born July 22, 1925 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Franklin Marion Herrell and Edna (Grace) Lumary Herrel. She worked 17 years with the Columbia Bank at 10th & Grand as a bank teller and auditor 1943-1959. In 1960 she worked part time at Hickman Mills Bank and later UMB. On September 3, 1949 she married Robert Russell Moore.
Preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 11, 1989; parents; step father, Joseph Reisacker; brothers, Ernest Lee “Bud” Herrell and Marion Lumary Herrell; nephew, Steven Lee Herrell and great-nephew, Steven Matthew Herrell. Survivors are niece, Linda (Greg) Snodgrass Kearney, MO and Barbara (Frank) Mendenhall of Olathe, KS; 6 great nephews and nieces; 9 great great nephews and nieces.
